Top Five Best Hot Chocolate Places In Chicago

Hello, I'm Nicole, and I am a chocoholic. I love chocolate, it's my favorite meal of the day. But my favorite kind of chocolate is hot chocolate. No matter the season I always want some. And let me tell you, I have tried a fare share of places that sell hot cocoa in the Chicagoland area. But no place can beat these top five.

Ghirardelli's - Ghirardelli Chocolate Cafe in Chicago is truly one of the best places to be in if you LOVE chocolate. They have a wide variety of delicious ice cream sundays, shakes, floats, chocolate treats, and hot cocoa! The hot cocoa here is my absolute favorite in the city. It taste like you're drinking Ghirardelli's chocolate squares melted with milk to make a perfect blend of hot chocolate. Every time I am in the Chicago I find an excuse to grab me some of this rich and mouth-watering hot cocoa. It truly is like no hot chocolate I have ever had, and if you have never tried the Ghirardelli's Hot Chocolate yourself, I deeply am so sorry and recommend you drop whatever you are doing and go to try it now. BomboBar - The BomboBar, located on 832 W Randolph Street is truly a hidden gem in this city. They have some of the best hot chocolate you can imagine and delicious food items called bomboloni's. Bomboloni's are tasty Italian hole-less doughnuts. And what goes best with a bomboloni? Well OBVIOUSLY hot chocolate! However, if you really want a real special drink you must order one of there S'mores or Funfetti hot chocolate drinks. Oberweis - Oberweis hot chocolate is purely delectable. From inside sources I know that they use actual ice cream in their hot cocoa along with the famous Oberweis chocolate milk everyone loves! You also can pretty much get any flavor you want. However, Oberwise is more of a suburban kind of place. You won't be able to find one down in the city. Not only is the house made hot cocoa kicking, but their pastries are the bomb! Everything inside their bakery tastes like it was made from heaven. Mindy's Hot Chocolate - I have been told by so many people that Mindy's Hot Chocolate is the best place in the city to grab some food and exquisite hot chocolate. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to try it myself. But I assure you, I will be there within the next few weeks. Nevertheless, I have been told this place is perfect for a date night. It is a cute restaurant that has an amazing looking menu and is all about that hot chocolate with about 10 specialty hot chcolocates to choose from.
